Description
The Denver Public Library Digital Map Collection contain a range of maps of Colorado and individual towns including Denver, Central City, Colorado Springs and many others. Many birds-eye-views are included. The Collection also includes two Denver Real Estate Atlases of great benefit to building and neighborhood history researchers. The Robinson Atlas of 1887 and the Baist Atlas of 1905 show the footprint and basic construction information of structures in the city. In addition, there are maps of other western states and cities, mining maps, geological maps, maps of early western migration, and early exploratory maps of the Western Hemisphere. Most maps are available for public view in the DPL Western History/Genealogy Department. Many maps are also available as high resolution downloads.
